

Terms & Conditions
When hiring from Hire with LD, you accept and consent to the following terms and conditions. These T&Cs form the Hire Agreement between Hire with LD and their clients.
Hire with LD reserves the right to change these terms and conditions (T&Cs) when necessary, at its sole discretion.
Booking Policy
Upon booking an item with Hire with LD, you accept all of our terms and conditions.
If we are notified about a cancellation before dispatch, you will receive 100% store credit to use, which will be valid for 12 months.
If you book an item and it doesn't fit or you don’t like it, you will receive 50% store credit minus the delivery fee, which will be valid for 12 months. The item MUST be sent back to us within 24 hours of receiving it to be eligible for this store credit.
Hire with LD operates within Australia. If you book an outfit and you’re located overseas, you will not be eligible for a refund.
The hire periods we offer are either 2 days (ONLY for weekday events), 4 days, or 6 days. If you would like to hire an item for longer, please email us and we can arrange this.
The item will be received by postage or picked up on the day it is booked for. The item MUST be returned on the last day of the hire period, either dropped off at the correct location or returned via EXPRESS POST. Failure to meet any deadlines will result in a $45 late fee, which will be charged daily until the item is returned.
You will choose your return method at checkout, which cannot be changed once chosen. If the item is not returned via the chosen method, you will be charged a fee of $45.
If the item is not returned by the last day of the hire period, a $45 late fee will be charged daily until the item is returned. If the item is returned later than 24 hours past the due date, an additional fee of $45 will apply for each extra day. Failure to return the item after an extended delay will result in a charge equivalent to the full retail price (RRP) of the item.
If the item is stolen and the customer refuses to pay the required fees, legal action will be taken against the customer. This includes, but is not limited to, prosecution through a debt-collecting agency.
Postage
If you select the delivery option, Hire with LD is not responsible or liable for any postage delays, as this is the fault of a third party (Australia Post).
All items are posted out at least 3 days before the booking date to ensure your items are delivered (This 3-day period may change based on Australia Post delivery times).
In the case of a late delivery, we can issue you a store credit for the price you paid. To be eligible for store credit, the outfit must be posted back the same day that it was delivered via EXPRESS post.
If Australia Post is unable to deliver the parcel to your house, it is the customer’s responsibility to pick up the parcel from the Post Office in time for their event. Store credits and refunds will not be issued under any circumstance as this is the customer’s responsibility.
Return Policy For Drop-Offs
Items are NOT to be washed or dry cleaned; please return them as is.
Ensure your hire has been dropped off by 6 pm on the last day of your hire. Failure to do so will result in a $45 late fee, which will be charged daily until the item is returned.
You will choose your return method at checkout, which cannot be changed once chosen. If not returned the way chosen, you will be charged a fee of $45.
If items are returned via Uber or any type of courier, you are liable and responsible for paying the retail price (RRP) if it gets delivered to the wrong house, goes missing, gets stolen, or is not returned.
Return Policy For Postage
Items are NOT to be washed or dry cleaned; please return them as is.
Ensure your hire has been posted via EXPRESS POST, with the pre-paid return label provided, by 6 pm on the last day of your hire. Failure to do so will result in a $45 late fee, which will be charged daily until the item is returned.
You will choose your return method at checkout, which cannot be changed once chosen. If not returned the chosen way, you will be charged a fee of $45.
All items MUST be posted back by EXPRESS POST, with the return label provided. If the customer posts a dress back with standard postage, they will be charged a fee of $45.
Damaged Items
Any damages such as holes, stains, missing buttons, etc. will result in the customer being charged extra. This price will vary based on the repair costs. Please note that you may also be liable for the cost of future bookings if Hire with LD needs to cancel another customer’s booking due to the damages.
If there is damage to the garment BEFORE it is worn by the customer, the customer MUST take a photo of the damage and send it to Hire with LD on the day of receiving the item. If this is not done, the customer is liable to pay for the damage.
If the customer is required to pay the RRP of an item, this payment is separate from the payment of the hire. For example, if you pay $100 to hire, this price is NOT taken off the RRP payment. This is a separate fee.
Hire with LD has the final say on whether the condition of a dress is hireable. If we deem an outfit unfit for hire due to damage or stains caused by the wearer, the item is no longer of value to us as stock and the customer must pay the RRP value.
Immediately notify Hire with LD of ANY damage to the garment during the hire period.
The customer is not permitted to alter the garment under any circumstance.
If damage to an item cannot be fixed, the customer will be charged the full RRP of the item.
Try-on Appointments
We offer try-ons by appointment only at Preston 3072, Melbourne.

The $20 charge is non-refundable but can be used towards your hire only if you book an item at your appointment.

This does NOT guarantee the garment is available in our stockroom. However, we will do our best to have it in stock.
We DO NOT hold items for try-on appointments, nor will you be refunded if the item you wanted to try on is unavailable during your appointment.
If you cancel, are running more than 15 minutes late, or don’t come to your appointment, you will NOT be refunded the $20.
To rebook an appointment, a new deposit will be made.
