Terms & Conditions

By hiring from Hire with LD, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms form a legally binding Hire Agreement between you and Hire with LD. Hire with LD reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

All bookings are final once confirmed and are subject to these Terms & Conditions. If you cancel your booking before the item has been dispatched, you will receive 100% store credit valid for 12 months.

If your item does not fit or you change your mind, you will receive store credit minus a $35 fee to cover postage and dry cleaning. This store credit is valid for 12 months. To be eligible, the item must be returned within 24 hours of delivery.

Hire with LD operates within Australia only. Bookings made from overseas are not eligible for refunds or store credit.

Hire Periods

Hire periods are available for 4 days, 6 days, or 8 days. Longer hire periods may be arranged upon request via email. Your hire begins on the booked start date. Items must be returned on the final day of the hire period.

Returns & Late Fees

The return method selected at checkout cannot be changed. If an item is returned using a different method, a $45 fee will apply.

Items not returned on the final day of the hire period will incur a late fee of $45 per day, charged daily until the item is returned. If an item is returned more than 24 hours late, additional daily late fees will apply. Failure to return an item may result in the customer being charged the full retail price (RRP).

If an item is stolen and required fees are not paid, Hire with LD reserves the right to pursue debt recovery or legal action.

Postage & Delivery

Hire with LD is not responsible for delivery delays caused by Australia Post or other third-party postal services. Items are dispatched at least three days prior to the booking date, subject to Australia Post delivery timeframes.

If an item arrives late, store credit for the hire fee may be issued provided the item is returned on the same day of delivery via Express Post. If Australia Post is unable to deliver to your address, it is the customer’s responsibility to collect the parcel in time for their event. No refunds or store credit will be issued in this circumstance. IMPORTANT NOTE: Any order placed less than four business day prior to the start date is considered a “last minute hire”, If this order does not arrive in time you will NOT be issued a store credit or refund under any circumstance.

Return Policy - Drop Off

Items must not be washed or dry cleaned and must be returned in their original condition. Drop-off returns must be completed by 7:00 pm on the final day of the hire period. Late drop-offs will incur a $45 late fee per day.

Items returned via Uber or courier services are done so at the customer’s own risk. If an item is lost, stolen, delivered incorrectly, or not returned, the customer will be liable for the full retail price (RRP).

Return Policy - Postage

Items must not be washed or dry cleaned and must be returned using Express Post with the prepaid return label provided. Items must be lodged by 5:00 pm on the final day of the hire period. Failure to lodge on time will result in a $45 late fee per day.

Items returned using standard postage instead of Express Post will incur a $45 fee.

Damage, Loss & Alterations

Customers are responsible for the hired item for the entire hire period. Any damage, including but not limited to stains, holes, missing buttons, or excessive wear, will result in additional charges based on repair or replacement costs.

If an item is damaged prior to wear, the customer must notify Hire with LD on the day of delivery and provide clear photographic evidence. Failure to report pre-existing damage will result in the customer accepting liability.

If an item is deemed unfit for future hire due to damage caused during the hire period, the customer will be charged the full retail price (RRP). Hire fees are separate from any RRP charges.

Garments must not be altered under any circumstances. Hire with LD has final discretion regarding garment condition and repairability.

Insurance

Optional Damage Protection Add-On: For added peace of mind, customers can choose our Damage Protection add-on for $29.99. This covers up to $100 AUD in accidental damage during the rental period. Any damage exceeding $100 AUD will be charged at the standard rates. If this add-on is not selected, the customer remains fully responsible for all damages as outlined in the rental agreement.

Try-On Appointments

Try-on appointments are available by booking only at Preston 3072, Melbourne. A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a 20-minute appointment. This deposit may be applied to your hire if an item is booked during the appointment.

Booking a try-on does not guarantee availability of specific items, and items are not held for appointments. Arriving more than 10 minutes late, canceling, or failing to attend will result in the deposit being forfeited. A new deposit is required to rebook.
